About the programme
Our parent company, Recognized Ltd, headquartered in Manchester, UK, partners with leading garment manufacturers across five countries to develop AI-powered automation solutions for the textile and apparel industry. We combine machine vision, artificial intelligence, mechatronics and industrial automation to create high-speed systems that make precise decisions in under one second.
Role objective
Integrate electrical and electronic subsystems for industrial automation machines, with emphasis on PLC integration, control-panel wiring, servo motor and drive connections, encoder feedback, sensor interfacing and machine-level commissioning. This is a hands-on mechatronics role focused on making motors, drives, sensors, PLCs and mechanical modules work together as a complete automated system.
What you'll do
- Wire electrical panels, machine control circuits, sensors, actuators, power supplies, relays, contactors and terminal blocks
- Integrate PLCs with servo drives, motors, encoders, sensors, HMIs and machine safety circuits
- Connect servo motors to drives — power cables, encoder/feedback cables, communication interfaces and control signals, following manufacturer specifications
- Assist with servo enable, homing, jog movement, direction, speed, position and basic motion-sequence checks under supervision
- Support PLC I/O mapping, digital and analogue signal interfacing, interlocks, alarms and ladder-logic debugging
- Integrate encoders with PLCs or motion controllers for position feedback, speed measurement and synchronisation with conveyors or inspection systems
- Connect industrial cameras, photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, limit switches and other instrumentation to the control system
- Assist with commissioning servo-driven conveyors, gantries, indexing mechanisms and automated assemblies
- Troubleshoot wiring faults, incorrect I/O states, communication failures, servo alarms, feedback errors and integration issues
- Conduct electrical safety checks, I/O verification, motion tests, interlock validation and system-level testing
- Maintain wiring diagrams, PLC backups, parameter records, commissioning checklists and test reports
Who can apply
- Third-year or final-year degree or diploma student in Mechatronics, EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, motors, sensors and control circuits
- Interest in PLCs, servo motors, drives and industrial automation
- A practical mindset, curiosity and willingness to learn, with the ability to work on-site in Coimbatore
Nice to have (not mandatory)
Programme and progression
- Trainee stage: first 3 months (hourly stipend)
- Intern stage: continues until degree/diploma completion (hourly stipend)
- Possible full-time offer after graduation, conditional on performance, business needs and completion of the degree or diploma
- Designed for third-year and final-year degree and diploma students (18+ by start date)
- Hours are planned around the college timetable; exam leave and college paperwork support provided
- Occasional late or weekend work for installations or trials, with advance agreement; weekend days are compensated with weekday leave
Mentorship and learning
You'll receive guided training, a mentor from day one, and regular one-to-one progress reviews. The work involves real machine builds, integration, testing and customer trials — not only classroom exercises. Strong performers may receive letters of recommendation for jobs or higher studies.
How to apply
Email your resume to contact@flowgrad.com. Include your year of study, branch, college, and a short note about a project you have built. Photos, videos or a GitHub link are welcome. The selection process is a short call, a practical assessment (for example wiring a sensor, debugging a circuit or a small technical task), and an offer for successful candidates.
We are an equal-opportunity employer. We never ask candidates for money at any stage of recruitment.
